I've never actually seen a cherry blossom, but I agree with Erin that it looks good like it is, because you can still see the branches and that part is beautiful. Although I, like you, would love to just test it and see what it would look like with just a few more. The tree looks beautiful even before the blossoms were added, and bringing it to full blossom would hide a lot of the beauty of the tree, in my opinion.
