You Make Me Smile
Oh, Lady Baby, you do make me smile. Don't you love the enthusiasm? In this series of shots she is sitting in a high chair used for many generations in my family. It is not a remotely safe contraption as there are no ties or other straps to keep slippery round-bottomed babies in. Nonetheless, everyone has survived so far and Maggie seems to think it adds to the fun as she would repeatedly pull herself forward almost to the point that she was falling out.
Maggie finds eating quite entertaining. Usually, she has an extra spoon or toy to keep her attention, but other times she just chatters on and seems to urge you to give her more food. It blows my mind how much solid food she's had this week, including her first smushed home made chicken and noodles from Grandma! Most of the food this week was her usual orange vegetable, cereal, apples and bananas rotation, but we've added some blueberries, pears, avocado and even a few little nibbles on an orange to the mix. I love how willing she is to try anything; at least so long as there is some apple sauce involved. She is, however, also very easily distracted as you'll see in the last shot she is checking out what her Daddy is up to.
In any case, this series of pictures just made me smile today so I had to share!
Ps. We are all safely home from our ice storm exodus to the farm. We had a blast and I'll have pictures and stories later in the week!
