More!

So I posted my Ten on Tuesday post earlier, but there were some moments from this evening that I just want to remember. So here are a few more:

11. Quote of the evening from B: "I just stepped on a Zebra"  (Was running around in circles and stepped on the Zebra pull toy)

12. M had her first Indian food - this Chicken Korma from Food Network TV's Magazine. She probably had more than her brother taking tiny bits of the chicken mixture and little peas. The recipe isn't too spicy, and probably a good intro.  B focused on the Naan that I found at Target of all things!

13. Had what was one of B's first, but I'm sure not one of his last ,crying bits about having to do the dishes.  He recovered and was a good helper:)

14. B cried again (rough day for him) about having to share some toys with M. She then proceeded to start crying too --- I'm pretty sure just because he was.  Apologies and comforting followed all around and it turned what had been a frustrating moment into a sweet one.

15. There have been Oreos in our house untouched since B's birthday party --- we had two today! (Yes, not a good WW moment)

16.  I loved the Swiss male figure skater's program (Lambiel) so sad that just because his jumps weren't as awesome that he won't be on the podium, most likely.  I still prefer the program to just a series of big jumps. (Do I sound like an old person?)

17.  A couple have asked about M's crawling -- Yes, M is getting closer to crawling every day.  She gets up on all fours, rocks, slides a knee forward, collapses and protests -- repeat constantly.  This little one, unfortunately, may have a touch of her Mom's tendency to frustration/lack of patience. There are still lots of little girl push ups too.  I am none too eager to reach this next milestone.  Had the stunning realization we're about to have kids---not a boy and a baby. It goes so fast.  I asked Brent what we'll do when she learns to crawl. His answer: "Chase her."  Right.

18. M's bedtime ritual now goes like this: She goes to sleep either with us or alone in her bed around 8pmish.  She will routinely wake up about three times between then and 11pm very briefly seeking her paci and immediately goes back to sleep when you give it to her. (Sort of miss having a thumb-sucker, I'll admit). Then, she'll sleep until 7amish so we're nearing the magical 11 hour sleep mark.  We're not 100% consistent yet, but up well over 50% particularly now that she is feeling better.

19.  Speaking of thumb-sucking, B still sucks his when he sleeps, watches TV or is feeling badly.  His thumb is in bad shape after the recent illness so Brent decided it si time to start working away from it.  B seems to get that it is too hurt and he needs to not suck it.  He will ask about it when we're watching TV and not suck it after we talk about it.  Seeing some progress at night too.

20.  Loved watching the Olympics and snuggling with B just the two of us while Brent went back for dorm night.  After B went to bed, grading for me, but almost through the bulk of that. Here's hoping I feel even better tomorrow!

Thanks for following along.  There are just so many bits of our daily life that I want to remember:)

Love the 20 on Tuesday today! I may try to start it up too, as I love reading yours and another great way to capture a snapshot of our ever changing lives.
