1. How many times did Brent wish that the Babylegs had feet so they took care of our unending sock issues as well? MANY. Turns out that exists. Not cheap, but tempting. Love the name too, if not the thought of my baby lady in thigh highs.
2. Last Monday ( a week ago) Maggie had her worst sleep night ever (or at least since being a newborn). Since then, she has only woken up once during the night...
3. Missed exercise for several days due to storm and birthday fun. I'm so glad to be back to it today with my Zumba class--- assuming we can make it there (see below). In good news, lost 2lbs last week even though had some less than focused WW days, but stayed mostly on plan.
4. OKC/Edmond MUST figure out some sort of snow removal system. The storm started Thursday and schools are still closed on Tuesday. Their snow/ice removal strategy up in our area seems to be "Hoping" it warms up or maybe road clearing by letting people drive on it in hopes it melts. No proactive improvements in sight. (Sorry for the rant, but this is driving me nuts. It was this bad in December's storm too).
5. Stores, hire someone to clear out your parking lots a bit. It has been 4-5 days and Target of all places has done nothing that I can see to clear out spaces other than maybe a little salt here or there. Amazes me -- the lawyer in me sees lawsuits everywhere....
6. Yes, may be feeling a bit trapped in a winter world gone crazy. Here's hoping this is our last major storm as OK is just not set up for winter weather, it appears.
7. Brent's presents mostly didn't arrive on time (see Snow issues above) so I let B pick you some substitute presents. That was pretty interesting. Gifts included light saber "Clone Wars" Wii game and some completely random other things. Loving three.
8. Poor Miss M has a big cold and lots of snottiness, coupled with teething and an uncertain tummy situation. Think we'll be glad to discuss with Dr. at our 6 month appointment on Friday. (Can you believe it has been six months???)
9. Work, work and more work.... Back to two part time jobs. I'll just leave it at that.
10. Check out my Mom's blog for some cool winter storm posts and neat tales of my kiddos. I've nominated her for an 2009 Oklahoma Rural Blog award and want to thank Tracie for nominating this blog for an 2009 OK Family blog award.
So, in short, I've not snow and winter storm recovery on the mind today.
