Lady Bug Hunts

With the arrival of intermittently lovely weather we've been spending more and more time in the grass out back.  We have a strange growth of sunflowers and weeds generally due to apparently making a bad choice in switching some of our lawn services.  However, the weeds appear to be a haven for ladybugs.  Often, we'll plop down in the midst of the lawn and "hunt for ladybugs." Any taller plant without ladybugs get pulled up and B joyfully tosses them around.  However, more often than not, we find a ladybug lurking under the leaf of a sunflower plant or hiding in the prickly weeds shown here.  I think lady M is a big confused as she keeps trying to eat the prickly (poisonous) plants Mama is always pulling up.  Then again, Maggie tries to eat pretty much any vegetation or dirt she can get her hands in.  The bright spot in all of this is B's joy in the hunt and excitement when he finds a ladybug all by himself.  A perfect spring time blessing in disguise.  Here's to many more ladybug hunting adventures little man.
