I think I've sometimes noted B's favorite books before, but thought it was time for an update. He currently loves The Pigeon Wants a Puppy and of course his Thomas books, primarily Thomas and Friends: My Red Railway Book Box (Bright & Early Board Books(TM)).
One of the neat current books we're reading is Pajama Time!. We have been reading it off and on for maybe a year or so. However, lately Brendan seems to be understanding it a lot more. We read it (sometimes a few times) usually in the evening near bed time (as a gentle hint). The second or third time we read it he will start pointing out things like the green pjs or the fuzzy ones. By the end he starts to say the quiet parts with us. (The last page you start loud and get softer ending with "Good Night, Sleep Tight".
The cool part is he knows it is time to go to sleep then. I will admit that B rarely struggles about his night night time, but this is still a neat step. A few weeks ago, we noticed after just the first reading he went looking for his blanket and crawled into bed. Subsequently, it is often a couple readings and sometimes he "reads" it to us once, usually upside down. However, he knows when that book in particular is over it is night night time. Very cute and so neat to watch them learn. I suspect there are other books this would work with too (we own The Going-To-Bed Book too, but haven't tried it lately). For now, this is our favorite and a pretty fun read as these things go.
We are a big Boynton book fan in general and some of our other favorites are below. I find myself giving them away alot as well so you may recognize several on the list.
Barnyard Dance! (Boynton on Board) - Apparently this is one of Serenity's favorites!
Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs! (Boynton on Board) - definitely B's favorite book of the fall.
But Not the Hippopotamus
Hippos Go Berserk - She kind of has a thing for hippos
Bob: And 6 More Christmas Stories - This one is short stories we read a lot around Christmas (a present from Grandma B).
We have a few others, but these get the biggest rotation. Enjoy!

"One hippo, all alone, calls two hippos on the phone..." Yeah, I have that one memorized completely. :)
We LOVE Boynton too. I find that I enjoy memorizing her books, rather than the sense of annoyance I get when I realized I've memorized some other authors (Good Night Moon for instance - I know it is a classic, but not one of my faves). We have all the others you mentioned, but not Pajama Time - we'll have to look into that one.
I only have one of these books (that you got us!), but would love to have more (hint: JRJ's bday is in a couple of weeks!) I never know what books to buy. I suppose once he has a stonger opinion on books I will will have a better idea.
