A better day already

It is only 11am, but I'm just sure today is going to be better. Maggie has slept a lot and is much happier when awake. I suspect this is because she got SEVEN hours straight of sleep last night. Granted, she slept on me the whole time, but after a day of practically no sleep and hours of screaming I was glad to help. B is much better too. Oddly, I can say that even though he is now clearly sick. I think he has a cold and maybe that contributed to yesterday. I fear that Maggie will get it and fevers at her age (should she get one) are scary. We are in super hands washing mode, but will be OK. We even made yummy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies this morning.

I know I am not one of those moms that constantly says her kids are perfect and actually think that is pretty healthy. I don't want you to be overly negative or critical either. Interestingly, I found an a series of blog posts right on point today. See here - and the link the her blogher article on it. I hope I'm finding the balance in my writing as well as in how we work through our days together. Thanks for reading and thanks for your encouragement!

So glad to hear today is better.

We all know it is not rosey all the time. Although it is hard to go through it, I think it helps us other Mom's to know that we are not alone and it is normal to have bad days. And if it helps you to vent, then all the better!

Post away!

Once again I say aloud, for all the world to hear: being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Talk about on the job training! Hooray for those of you gutsy enough to give it a shot.

I love you sis, you're doing amazing. Hang in there and remember you are raising children who will grow up to be amazing adults, what a great goal to work towards right! I love you guys so much and wish I could be there to help but I'm sending you prayers and support from afar! Kiss those kids for me!
