Farm Work

B loves doing "farm work" with my Dad.  While we were snowbound with them near the end of January, my Mom went along and took photos of the whole cattle feeding process.  The slideshow below includes each step of the way, from trying to get the tractor to started, to riding on the tractor, moving bales, the cattle, and finishes with a shot of the controls of the bale spike in B's lap.  (The bale spike is on the back of the pickup and has hydraulics that you can use to raise and lower the hay bale to pick it up and drop it off elsewhere).

You'll also notice the early getting dressed picture.  We went to the farm without our snowboots so had to improvise.  Grandma subsequently sent us some awesome snowboots that B has been wearing at every chance.  I hope this is a sneak peak into farm work for you less familiar.  I also hope that B continues to love farm work as it makes his Grandpa so happy to share this with him and I know we will all treasure these memories.

Thanks so much for that one. It warmed my heart, which is missing him so much today, for some reason. I loved hearing his sweet voice on the phone.
