After all the chaos that surrounded B's baptism, I really just wanted a simple, pretty, easy event for M's. For once, we were lucky enough to get it. I was a little worried because M is just a little bit sick, but the worst that came from that was her refusing to wear things in her hair. Everything at the ceremony ran so smoothly. We were surrounded by people that love her and us. The baptism itself was simple and yet very special. We and her godparents (Able, Jamie and Tracie) pledged our love and support of her as we embraced the traditions of this sacrament and God's love for her. It was lovely.
The ceremony was followed by cupcakes, watermelon and lemonade in the park with our friends and family. Luckily, some of our friends that went ahead while we took pictures cleared up what could have been a stressful moment for me by clearing out a group that was attempting to use the pavilion we rented (thanks Will and Scott!). Everyone helped set up and spent an exceedingly hot hour enjoying each other's company and the food while the kids ran around and played on the play ground. In the end it was really just too hot and humid, particularly for our sick guest of honor so we packed it up around 3 and headed home for air-conditioning and a lot more cold water. I have so many wonderful pictures and hope you enjoy the slide show. Thanks so much to everyone, particularly our parents and the Maggie's new god parents. We love you!
(Ps. We miss you Audra and Zach - Sending hugs and happy thoughts as you wait for baby Zane)
