Our Mother's Day Tradition

I think it is fair to say that purple roses are our Mother's Day tradition. Sometimes it has been via a mini-rose bush or amid many other flowers. This year, Brent and the kids picked them up from Target while granting me some by-myself-scrapbooking time. Doesn't she look lovely with them? The sad part of this tradition is that I always leave for DC about two days later. My hope is that they enjoy them and think of me while I'm gone. My wedding bouquet looked much like this, if you are wondering why the purple. Makes me happy still.
