Day 25: Christmas!

For the big day itself, I'm taking a slightly different approach.  Rather than one big picture, I chose lots of wallet size pictures to be sprinkled around with little strips of journaling below them.  They will go on canvas pages like this one:

Part 1 - Christmas morning at home:

  • Digging, diving, and dumping out the stocking treasues
  • Joy of shared discovery and simple tactile toys
  • Anticipation and a little more waiting with piles of presents - smiles abound
  • Smiles and new treasures to share!
4x4

I love this random instagram picture from Christmas morning.  We had finished breakfast and were beginning the fun with toys (Here Lego Star Wars Brickmaster) before calling Grammy & Granddaddy and heading to the farm.  Everyone loves Lego blocks and family fun!

Part 2: Farm fun with Grandma!

  • M discovers her new footie jammies and piles of fun.
  • Brent's new favorite toy/frustration-- hours of entertainment from Audra & Zach
  • Uncle Able & B float candles down the creek to celebrate winter in true Tasha Tudor style
  • We help clean and play together
Note: Great Grandpa shared this special morning with us, but seems to have avoided the camera.  It is so wonderful that we get to share these moments with him and hear more and more of his stories of times past.

Part 3:  Extras + the next day

  • The morning after - Dec 26 returns to normal fun and coloring with Grandma
  • B helps Uncle Able feed the birds on a cool winter morning
  • Sometimes you just need Mama snuggles (and Mama needs them too)
  • Smiles from my boys as they discover new toys (Really part of Part 1)

We also took a lot of video of singing carols with Grandma and other fun activities at the farm after I discovered the flip in my purse.  I'm going to add a CD sleeve at the end that contains any of the video's for December with the picture of the Lego fun on the reverse. (Let me know if you'd like to see them as most can be shared here or sent to you on CD as well).

I may also adding the JYC Indulgence story  (written on a Christmas Starbucks bag) and some of my other random blog posts from December towards the back if I'm feeling ambitions.

The final page, as always, will be our Christmas Card from this year:

A Very Merry Christmas indeed and a very welcome new year!

I am delighted that the entire project is now just awaiting the photos which I gather and sent to print today via Scrapbookpictures.com!  So excited to see it all together, maybe even in the next couple weeks?!?
