After a week of hiatus, during which I did no scrapbooking, I have several new layouts to share:
This page is made mostly from the March Studio Calico kit - Story Hour. I made this while happily chatting away with Tracie. It is about the kids' last day of school last year and inspired by one of the sketches in my Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking Class. This is also the first one with a white pen that actually works. It is new and I really liked the flexibility to write directly onto darker cardstock.
This is another page from our crafting evening. I love the colors and subject of this layout as well as all the fun layers. It is made mostly from the February Daydream Believer kit and again inspired by Shimelle's class. I love all the happy colors and M's adorable faces. Hard to believe these pictures are from an entire year ago!
This one is M's first Easter so even further in the past. It is from this Shimelle's Starting Point Series and more with the Daydream Believer kit. I so like happy spring colors in this kit.
This is also around a year ago and inspired by something on my pinterest board (Apologies, I can't find the link now). It was a very sweet moment to capture although I'm still not completely happy with it for some reason.
This last one was a new challenge for me. It uses only things found in the March Story Hour kit--- absolutely nothing from my stash but ink. The underlying design is inspired by the Studio Calico Sunday Sketch. It was fun to layer all the papers and try to find ways to use a more limited set of materials creatively. I ended up really liking the result and think I'll try to make at least one page a month like this with only kit items.
What's your favorite? Anyone want to join me for some crafting time soon?
