First, a very happy birthday to our youngest nephew Matthew! He turns one today and you can see pictures of his adorable self on Jamie's blog.
Meanwhile, on to my web wanderings of the week.
1. My first Friday pick is my Mom's repost of her garden organization, timing, and scheduling suggestions. These are particularly designed for those in climates like Oklahoma, but oh so helpful for all of us that grew up gardening, but can't quite remember all the how/when/where as we begin our own gardens. I can hardly express how happy I am that she blogged this particular post as I now have some hope of working it all out properly.
I did, meanwhile, begin the ordering for our garden this year. So far, the plan is mostly things that will be done by the time baby boy arrives. Our plan includes: Celery (because we watch too much WonderPets), radishes (to help the carrots), carrots, beets, onions, tomato, strawberry, potatoes, pepper plant (for Miss M), basil, and either in the spring or fall, bush beans.
We still have growing Swiss Chard from last year as our greens, as well as two strawberry plants, rosemary, thyme, oregano, chives, green onions, and sage to start our plan for the year. We'll add in some flowers too. Yes, our bed is small and this is probably too much, but we'll dream big and maybe plant some of it in the fall instead.
2. This is a very cool video on Gratitude that I found via Ali Edwards - highly reccomend it!
3. As you've probably noticed, I really like Lisa Leonard's jewelry and other creations. The newest one to catch my eye is this Connected Necklace. I sort of think a version with five connected circles or hearts would be good to celebrate our new family of five (that configuration isn't available at the above link... just plotting).
4. As, ahem, mentioned, I scrapbook and therefore like the rest of the "industry" am quite into chevrons right now. My new temptation is not scrapbook related, but rather these cool storage bins from Land of Nod as clearly more storage is something we very much need just now.... (as I look at my very cluttered office/nursery/kids rooms).
For those not so lucky as to have your very own knitters/crochet team on hand, check out this adorable bear cowl.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

5. My darling BFFs are busily making me adorable baby hats after my not-so-subtle hint a few weeks ago. Tracie brought us the little guy's very first handmade gift this week - too cute, yes?
