Scrappy Sunday

I tried to make sure I had some crafty time this week and attempted to get back in the "groove' of creating.  The above page is loosely based on a Basic Grey Sketch and gave me all sorts of problems.  I admit, I don't love it, but am letting it go.

I am signed up for May Flaum's Kitastic class at BPC for September. This page is a lift of one of the samples she shows in the intro videos with a few changes in style, supplies and color.  I love M's smile in this picture and it was one of the few in these early days after my Dad died.

M has always loved dress-up.  At 18 months (pictured here) most of her costumes were inherited from brother, but that was no hindrance to dreams of great adventures. (Supply Note - this page is mostly drawn from the OA Woodland Park collection with a bit from the August SC kit).

I decided there was a bit left of my SC Elmwood Park Kit that really should be used.  These diagonals took me a sadly long time to create and M was a "big" help as we made our projects together this day.  Best of all, very cute picture of some of our favorite boys in the book!

UPDATE:

I'm adding a tag I created today for Stephanie's Scrappy Sunday Virtual Crop challenge.  Stephanie was the original inspiration for my Scrappy Sunday posts and I continue to play along.  Hooray for virtual crops and online inspirations.  Thanks Stephanie!
