Lori & Phil's Wedding & DC Doings
This weekend I had the great honor of attending Lori & Phil's wedding in Maryland. As many of you know, I go to a lot of weddings. Nonetheless, this one was one of my favorite. It was so sweet and wonderful to see a dear friend literally radiating with joy throughout the evening. I've known Lori in many fascents from law student, to cake decorating class buddy, to nights on the town, girls fondue parties, graduation, she helped throw my baby shower and farewell party in DC. There have been good and bad times in our lives as our circumstances have shifted in the last seven years. However, I have never seen her so happy and so beautiful. It was a wonderful event to witness and a great beginning to their next great adventure together.
I had the good fortune to share it with two other dear friends from law school, Emily & Lynn and their husbands Dave & T.J. We laughed, we talked, we snacked and caught up on all that is transpiring in our lives. It was so good to be together and be able to share in Lori & Phil's joy-filled celebration. Here are a few pictures of our fun and you can find more here. Congratulations to Lori and Phil and best wishes and heartfelt thank yous to all of my friends and colleagues who made it a wonderful weekend. Particularly, Emily, Dave and Calista who shared their home with me and transported me around all weekend. I so appreciate it!
While in DC I also spent day in the office back at GW. Which was wonderful in its own strange way. I fell right back into the routine of life there and so enjoyed working with my colleagues and friends there. The day passed so quickly! I am a
very lucky girl to have such a neat arrangement and a wonderful workplace both here and there. Other than work and weddings while in VA I mostly hung out with the Simons and had a wonderful lunch with our friend Holly. I even got to drive through Old Town and up the GW Parkway along the Potomac. It was a great trip and so fun to share it with special people. Thanks again for everything and I'll see you in October! (One last picture of darling Calista:)
(P.S. thanks also to those in OK who made this possible - most of all Brent and his parents for watching lil'b while I was away. Love you all!)
