Memory Keeping Tidbits Today

Stories Class: I mentioned previously Jessica Sprague's "Stories in Hand" class. Registration is now open. Here are the instructions to register for the FREE Stories in Hand class!
  1. Log in to your jessicasprague.com account. You must have an account and be logged in to continue to the next step. (NOTE: accounts are free and took me less than 2 minutes to set up with just a login name and e-mail to choose).
  2. Go to the Access Codes page here at JessicaSprague.com
  3. Enter the Access Code: SIHFreeNov2008
  4. After you enter the access code, click on the My Classes link to make sure that Stories in Hand is listed in your Class list.
  5. Go to the "My Classes" tab to see the supplies list for the class. Primarily a small 6x6 album, paper, pen, hole punch, printer and binder rings (from office type store).
A couple of you have expressed interest and I'm excited to see how it goes. She does repeat "You do NOT need to be a scrapbooker, just a person with stories to tell."

Blurb: I don't know if you've heard of Blurb, but it is new to me. It basically allows you to create your own memory books not that differently than say Snapfish or Shutterfly. However, it also has a handy feature that lets you import blogs (depends just a bit on the service you use), but it seems like a good way to get the memories/thoughts we're recording online into a book. The prices seem reasonable too. You can read about it more on this post from Elizabeth Kartchner and there is a discount code from Creating Keepsakes as well: creatingkeepsakes10 - that will save you $10 off your next purchase through, I think, the end of the year.

Internet Shopping Tip: I've recently become even more convinced than ever that before buying ANYTHING online you should Google the name of the site and "coupon" to look for coupon codes. I've found them for everything from scrapbook supplies, to clothes and bulbs. I generally save 5-50% on my orders this way and it only takes a few seconds. You can also try www.rather-be-shopping.com as I've found they do a decent job of aggregating the coupons as well.

In news from the home front - B again cried at daycare at the Y today so that I had to take him home and got very little workout. No clue what we're going to do about that. I guess just keep trying. We did have a great day at the farm and he got to play lots with Uncle Able and the Grandparents. Brent also had a great time hiking with the guys. Both long days, and glad to climb into bed. Hope your weekend was wonderful too!

Love the "blurb" thing! I can not wait to look into it!

I too am an internet coupon code searcher, it is a great saving tool. Thanks for the website, I had not heard of that one.

Another place to find good deals - slickdeals.net. It is a place where they post good deals daily, but then people can get on a post coupon codes they find. check it out.
