We Love Ice Cream!

We love ice cream and all its cousins - frozen custard, frozen, yogurt, and more. When we lived in Alexandria, we took these lovely walks through our quaint old neighborhood of Del Ray to The Dairy Godmother. This was a wonderful frozen custard shop that also had the stated aim of becoming a community gathering place. We loved it and I routinely would check the custard forcast to see which flavors were coming up.

In Oklahoma, the neighborhoods are structured somewhat differently. There are no businesses that I can really reach on foot due to the complete absence of sidewalks leaving my housing addition and the very large road that borders it. There are no businesses of any kind within the neighborhood, of course. We see a few small signs that this might change someday, but for the moment it is a fact of life. So, our family walks are mostly in circles, but we have strated locating some local sweet treats to fill that void. I mentioned Cup Cakes To Go Go previously and it is a more recent arrival. We have been making roughly monthly trips to the Berrilicious Frozen Yogurt place about a mile away. It is self serve frozen yogurt in maybe 8-10 flavors and roughly 40 different toppings to add on to that.

B's friend Luke as well as Luke's Mom and Sister are often there after MDO so sometimes we run into them as well. More often we go with visitors. Recently, we took a little family outing to enjoy the lovely weather and some tasty treats. Maggie even got her first taste. I love little places like this our our little mini-traditions.
