Day 13: PJ Party!

This evening, we had a spontaneous PJs and Pizza Party. (There was supposed to be Puzzles and Popcorn too, but they were omitted due to time constraints).

The kids had elected to have a bubble bath around five and B and I decided shortly thereafter that everyone should put on PJs and have a PJs, Pizza, Puzzle, Popcorn Party. Daddy joined us shortly thereafter and we all geared up in our PJs. I made homemade pizza using Smitten Kitchen's dough recipe (doubled for thick crust and prepped earlier in the day, coincidentally). We topped the adult have with bits of left over summer sausage and pepperoni while the kids had cheese only featuring fresh mozzarella and parmesan.

After dinner, we looked through Netflix for Christmas movies to stream, but came up short (again) as B and I had already watched the cartoons from 1952 that were the best available option. (They are weird, vaguely racist and sort of random, if you were wondering). Instead, we settled for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs as we'd read the book the day before. Everyone snuggled up with a blanket and settled in for a fun movie.

 M even managed to hang in there for about half of it before wandering off. She tried valiantly to injure herself during the remainder (for example pulling on ornaments until the tree started to move). She does make up for being ornery by being adorable and kissing her Daddy after he rescued her from one of her adventures. Sweet, easy and low key family fun on a very chilly Monday.
