Our Christmas celebrations continued today with the Wainright Cookie Fest 2011. Showing you how the pages will work is going to be a bit trickier as I'm veering from my one picture model, but here we go!

Day 3 ended with an 8x8 photo so on the back of that photo I'm attaching the first photo printed to 6x8 (it just doesn't work cropped as a square). It includes the day cluster for today as well. In the past I would have just said, oh and I'll ad something later, but I'm really trying to absolutely all of it save the photos so here is the decorative strip ready to adhere.

Day four had a lot of photos that I really felt were needed to tell the story of the celebration. So I'm electing to used the divided page protectors as in Day 3, but this time a version with six slots. The above collages will be printed as 5x7s and then cut into 8 individual pictures. That left two slots in the protector that needed filling (front and back there are a total of 12 slots -8 pictures, and 4 decorative)

I love simple gatherings like today's. Good food, good friends, and plenty of time to enjoy both. Chrissie did a great job of planning it for the kids and adults too. For the kids there was cookie decorating, chef's hats, games, a house full of toys, and fun playmates. For the adults there was a very fun hot cider bar with fixings from syrups through ice cream and cinnamon whipped cream. There was also music, conversation, and shared kid watching. Donovan (6 months) was the most relaxed kid there, amazingly. The little girls (Ashtyn, Maggie, and Serenity had a blast together while B and the big boys played games, and I chatted with the ladies. A very tasty and relaxing day.
That's the plan for day four. One thing to keep in mind in building a book with various pages, not all of which are physically present is that I'm having to keep track of page sizes and making sure that the front and back of each page is matching up size-wise. It isn't a big deal, but I'm a bit nervous I'll overlook one somewhere. If so, I'm sure I'll just find something pretty to fill in the space from the various tidbits we're gathering through the month.
Thanks for visiting!
