Months ago, B's friend, N, gave a OKC Baron's Hockey schedule and raved about his trip to watch them play.
This week, while cleaning his room, B happened onto the now well-worn schedule and asked again to go. We quickly determined that the last regular season game with this Sunday at 4pm. We had kind of a busy weekend planned already, but we'd promised, so we made it happen. M, surprisingly, decided she wanted to go too.
She had a great time too and, I'm told, loved her own big tub of popcorn. I think she got a little tired and thought it was a bit too noisy, but all in all, she liked it and wants to do it again.
B, on the other hand, simply LOVED it. He raved about how much fun it was, acted out some of the on-ice fights, and explained the players going to "time out". He was very excited that "our team" won and can't wait to go again.
I admit I'm a little bit surprised at how much fun they had, but also very happy. They also lucked into free tickets while waiting in line to buy theirs so they had great seats! (Thank you lovely random Chesapeake employees!) Now, they both have Barons shirts and we have a fun new activity. The Barons are very punny. Their mascot looks like some sort of "wildcat" and is named "Derrik" there is also a mini-Derrik named "Bit." In any case, I loved seeing B so pumped about his outing and am so very glad Brent took them!

In a miraculous turn of events, the game photos are already scrapped! Believe it or not, the journaling is much easier and more detailed right after the event happens. I "think" there may be a second page coming just with B & Brent, but for now, loving that this excitement is "in the book." (Supply Note: SC Spencer's Kit, sequins, Mister Huey, & printable, Echo Park Paper, and MME Enamel Dots).
The Barons are headed to the playoffs starting this week so - Go Barons!
(I went to a baby shower and took a nap with E. Both were fun, but a bit more low key Thanks to Grammie & Granddaddy for watching our tired baby while I celebrated with my friends).
