A taste of spring

You may recall from November that we had a big bulb planting project. We have been delighted to recently see the fruits of our labor and I wanted to share some of them with you. Thus far, we have a beautiful blooming tree, pansies, tulips, one crocus, a few daffodils and some hyacinths that smell absolutely fabulous. They are not as tall as they might be in better soil, but still beautiful. Also, the peonies are up and we're optimistic that they too will provide beautiful blooms.

On Sunday, after our return from the farm, Brent's parents came by and helped us transplant the wayward willow tree from our front flower bed where it was too close to the house into the back yard. They were a HUGE help as we clearly would have had no clue what we were doing. We're not sure if the transplant worked, but we're hopeful. This is also the next step in our path to making it home and it feels closer already.
